I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. My primary academic interest focuses on the archaeology of castle sitings in medieval Ireland. I use landscape archaeology, spatial analysis and modelling, GIS, and archaeological surveying to understand the particular locations of the earliest timber castles in Ireland constructed by Anglo-Norman colonizers after 1169. I also have experience in Iron Age archaeology, zooarchaeology, faunal analysis, and 3D scanning.

I hold a MA in Anthropology and a Masters of Geographic Information Systems (MGIS) from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and a BA in History with minors in Anthropology and Geography from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
